Scientific magazine «Marianum Ephemerides Mariologiae»
The magazine, founded in 1939 by Gabriele M. Roschini OSM, presents the figure of Mary in the mystery of Christ and the Church from a doctrinal, historical-cultural, literary, and artistic perspective through scholarly contributions in various languages. It aims to publicize the most recent findings and research in the field of Mariology, especially from Christological, ecclesial, and ecumenical perspectives.
Published articles are divided into several sections:
- STUDIES: more challenging and extensive essays that contribute to scientific progress.
- MISCELLANEOUS: shorter writings, bibliographical reviews, other informative notes.
III. DOCUMENTATION: proceedings, speeches, letters from the Pope, Episcopal Conferences, and Bishops on the Blessed Virgin.
- NEWS: various news of cultural interest; conferences, symposia, Mariological congresses.
- BIBLIOGRAPHY: critical reviews, presentations of other works, list of books received, retrospective bibliography.
The magazine Marianum (ISSN: 1128-689X) is included in the list of scientific journals in area 11 (historical, philosophical, and pedagogical sciences) compiled by the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research (ANVUR).
It is published in two installments per year, bound in a single volume, for a total of over 500 pages. The editorial staff is led by professors of the Pontifical Theological Faculty Marianum; the current director is Professor Ricardo M. Pérez Márquez OSM.
