Scientific magazine «Studi Storici dell’Ordine dei Servi di Maria»

 

Begun in 1933, the publication, promoted by Raffaele M. Taucci OSM, offers the best in historical, hagiographical, and archival studies, at a high level of scholarship, regarding the centuries-old life of the Order of the Servants of Mary. Periodically, several volumes are dedicated entirely to the Servite Bibliography.

Each volume is accompanied by its own analytical index, while the published contributions are divided into several sections:

1. ARTICLES: more challenging and longer essays that contribute to scholarly progress on the subject matter.
2. MISCELLANEOUS: shorter writings on various topics.

III. DOCUMENTATION: publication of documents relating to the history of the Order, accompanied by introductions and explanatory notes.

1. NEWS: various news on events such as conferences, academic proceedings, and anniversary celebrations.
2. REVIEWS AND REPORTS: regarding published studies.

 

The journal Studi Storici OSM (ISSN: 0039-3045) is included in the list of scientific journals in area 11 (historical, philosophical, and pedagogical sciences) compiled by the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research (ANVUR).

It is published in a single volume annually. The editorial staff is overseen by the Collegium of the Historical Institute of the Servants of Mary, and the current director is Professor Franco M. Azzali OSM.
